Spencer company records show the 80,000 range serial numbers manufactured between May 1923 and August 1925. Their 1924 catalogue illustrates this very popular model on page 27; this particular lot also features the rack-and-pinion, vernier gauge mechanical stage No. 493 illustrated on page 68 of the same catalogue.
